would my best route from here be to swap the ext alt for an int alt?
sidebar question: in the wiring diagrams that i see from int alt setups, it always shows that the R terminal off the back of the alternator always gets wired back directly to the battery. why doesn't it just connect to the BAT terminal inside the alternator?
