A couple of questions: Do you have a stock valve train? If so, you rocker adjustment is very different that that of a Chevrolet motor. Pontiac rockers are torqued to 25 lbs and done. Second, are your push rods new or the original. You should check and see of you have a hole through the middle of the orignal push rods and compare to what is in the engine now. Third, your breaking for the valve train is to run it for 20 minutes when you first fire it up. Did you do that?
