I spent a few hours yesterday replacing the rear coil springs on my Catalina. The rear springs were worn out and was squealing every time I hit a bump on the road.
To make a long story short, old springs came out, new springs went in. I do have to say that the car rides much nicer than it did, and the "California Rake" to the car (since it sagged in the rear) is gone.
I got the Isolater cups from PY, and were a perfect match for the original ones. Whilst taking the old springs out, Pontiac didnt exactly install one of the springs right, part of the coil was sitting rubbing against the coil housing on top!
