If I was road racing I would use the 4" crank and a 4.350 bore. Better off the corner deal. I have built a few road race combos. All 428 style. All run great. t would run 7000 no problem. But I would get into some serious internal components.

It would be a 476 cu.in. BBC style combo and build along those lines. Just need a good flowing head with great mid numbers and the right camshaft choice.

I don't have any info on the durability of the aluminum block. I think the Jury is still out on that deal and long term heavy duty useage.

You would need more gear. And I don't think a tremec will hold up.
