Default First paint

Well, the entire car is ready to paint. The first bit of final color is on the dash. It needs to be flattened, on the top though, and the upper doors/quarters need to be painted to match the upolstry, and then the main car gets painted. Hopefully that will be this week. The trunk has been sprayed with a rhino liner type material, and then painted with a spatter paint I bought on ebay. Only problem is the paint didn't spatter. I've got a couple rattle cans of aqua spatter coming from Eastwood along with the top satin clear to go over it. The ebay paint was a quart container, and I thought it would be better then using the rattle cans, .....shows what I know. The parchment paint will be a 3 part process (base, pearl and clear) in hopes of matching the pearl door panels and seat covers. I put some of the availabe parchment paint against the panels, and it was ugly. It didnt just "not look nice".... it was ugly. The seats should be done this week. I'll snap some more pics next weekend.
