used the stuff to patch a burn channel when a headgasket blew on a old ford farm truck (351 w) , just mixed it up and smeared it in the groove and then trimmed off the remainder in the bores with a knife ans slapped the head gasket on , well its been 7 years since we did that and the motor is still running great operating a irrigation pump but the body died , I have used it when porting pontiac heads it works great on the intake but burns off on the exaust ,for crossovers we use a furnace cement they sell it at home depot you have to put it in a little at a time so it will dry
