The 239 was made from 41-54, so the parts availability shold be pretty good, same for brakes and suspension. California Pontiac Restoration should have mostly what you need. Stuff like trim and body panals will be difficult to find depending on what model it is. There is an a, b and c body depending on the model .
I'm just going thru some of this stuff for my 41 too, my interior is an optional Mohair fabric, which is pretty expensive to replace, probably get something close when that time comes.
Can't comment on the value without seeing the car. Look up what they have beeen selling on epay maybe to get an idea. Still learning as I go hope this helps.
There isn't too much prewar tech here, but there also is a good 42-48 Pontiac group on yahoo as well. Pretty much the same as what a 41 is.
