Stroking a 409 is as easy as using a 3.76 396/427 crank pr a 4.0 454 crank and turnino the mains and counterweights down(and snout to SBC size) 409s had a 4.3125 bore and a 3.5 stroke originally. Get a 470 ci motor pretty easily. Down side even the good heads only flow around 250-270 cfm, hard to feed them just like our Ponchos.
