Looks like I screwed up. I sold the 73 orange lenses I had figuring to easily buy 72 white ones. Sounds like the clear are very hard to find in 72 style. I guess I now need to hunt down a set of orange ones being they are more common.
BTW, my 72 definitely came with a metal valance, it had all the original paint on when I sanded it.
