Here is an article worth a read concerning maintenance on a second-hand 550 Maranello. Actually not as bad as I thought at $2.90 a mile to drive beyond acquisition, but something to consider nevertheless...basically you are just doubling your gas bill if you want to look at it that way (and again, figuring you won't have major damage).
