Tom: The 63 alternator bracket is definately the answer and it is, indeed, a work of art. The only drawback is the length of the belt and if you are going to spin the motor at high RPMS you will have belt troubles. I speak from many unpleasant experiences with my 62 fraying and or throwing belts. I'm now running Dayco belts and they have lasted the longest.
