I belive the cage in my car is a S&W kit if I remember. (Bakers old car)

If I was going to do it over, I would have someone custom bend one, and weld it in.

Dont get me wrong, the kits are great for the do-it-yourself type people, but if your not good at welding, why not have a pro weld it in. so get a custom one done. Much better fit IMO.

And why take your chances if your not a pro welder, safety first.

Some things are better left to the pros. (welding)
