seems that there is a trade-off between bearing or bushing. the downside of the bearing is that when it fails, it really frickin fails. seems that others feel that a bushing can be tough on the needle bearings in the trans.
but... i think people lose sight of it's function and what makes a bushing/bearing work hard.... bellhousing alignment is so important. remarkable that some people don't even check it. i suspect that bushings get blamed for needle bearing failure when it was actually the fault of bad bellhousing alignment.
my vote is proper bellhousing alignment & bushing, but IMO bushing/bearing choice is far less important than proper alignment.
