2manyTAs, The manifolds were sandblasted and painted with Eastwood's stinky gooey high temp grey. It sure makes a mess until you get them hot for the first time. But I have used it before and it lasts for several years.
I made a small deviation from stock on the manifolds about 8 years ago. I replaced the stock bolts with stainless fasteners for both mounting to the head and the head pipes. No issues with seizing or rust anymore!
