I did a intake porting story for Pontiac Enthusiast back in 2004 using the HSD to run a Q-Jet. Here are a few pics that might interest you.

FYI...I use a modified 1" spacer. The spacer started out as a 4-hole spacer. I made the secondaries one large whole. This spacer gave me 20 hp and 20 lb ft on the dyno test.
