I have to agree with Frans. A 350 is not going to make it in such a heavy car, either. The Pontiac is a much better suited powerplant for this car.
That being said, a 383 Chevy might provide the power you're looking for, but only a "real" one ($$$). That car weighs over 3,700 lbs., you know.
