It got into the night because of a bad wreck Saturday. Maryland racer Marty Martin broke a axle in his 67 Chevy II at the end of his run. It locked the rear end up and the car went air borne while doing about 5 rolls. He only had a lap belt and came partially out of the car before it stopped when the door blew off. He was life flighted from the track. Last word we heard was he was going to make it.

On Sunday,someone close to the family told us that Marty was walking around and talking to his family at the hospital.He had surgery on one arm that was broke in the crash and he had a couple of deep cuts on his face.He said he didn't remember the crash,but also said he wouldn't race anymore.
We were pitted just after the finish line and saw the entire wreck.He is a very,very lucky man.
