Post the question on the body/shop/tech area on this forum. I think it's a really good question that some of those guys could answer and hopefully tou might get some "how toos" and maybe a pictures/etc.
Buying a cut-off (F-body) T-Top roof section and lids are not to expensive and readily availible... that's a possitive.
