Well, there are two solutions to this:
1) make your car ugly so that no one will say "Nice" anything (C'mon, no ones gonna say "Hey, crappy Camaro/Firebird!")
2) Make like a duck...stuff just rolls off your back.
Plus if you just accept that a '67 Firebird is simply a re-designed Camaro your blood pressure will go down...
