If the fuses are good, then Performerrpm is correct to suspect the rheostat and switch within the headlight switch. Do the interior lights turn on if you turn that knob all the way to the left? (I ask because I talked with a young new owner of a Chevelle at a car show who did not know that the interior lights turned on this way.)The fuse for the interior lights is the fourth one from the top of the of the fuse block (4amp). The dome/interior lights are on a separate circuit that includes the brake lights. This fuse is lthe bottom one (20amp). If you have brake lights, then that fuse is good. So check that one soon before you get smashed from behind.
