Thanx for the lead F-8. After doing some research in this area, I've decided to go conservative initially. I'm going to just use my P-pump that I have and mount it in a mid 90's Astro Van housing with a remote reservoir. (I guess I should use one from a Safari since I'm puttin' it on Pontiac

)
This will allow me to retain my factory brackets and pressure hose. It is also easy to tweak the pressure on the P-pumps if I need to add a hydroboost later. I think I can fab up a relatively clean alternator mounting just above where the filler neck used to reside.
Got the idea from the 4x4 guys. Seems the stock P-pump is better mule than some of the type II based systems for my application. It will be quieter if I mount it "wet" as well.
Will probably be a few before I can scrounge up parts to mock it up, but if anyone is interested I can post up results in week or two.
