For the record, that worked perfectly. It took a little convincing (read: hammer) because my main studs were getting in the way, but it's all put together now.

Thanks TransAMrit for the picture. I finally have an understanding how all the pieces go together. The upper dipstick tube has to installed before the pan goes on. Oh well, to late for me.
