Yea, the Magnum 400 is really cool, but as I understand it, they were all made from Tempests NOT LeMans'.

So if you're going to clone one, you should probably start with a Tempest not a LeMans (They had different standard interior trims. The '70 Tempest/ Tempest T-37 had vinyl bench with patterned cloth inserts, the LeMans had vinyl bench, and the LeMans Sport had buckets). The Tempest would be an easier starting point (less to change), if you can find one, 70 LeMans' are a dime a dozen compared to Tempests, at least in my area

I thought about cloning mine into one, but it seems like more of a regional thing, I'm not sure it would have the same impact in Kansas as Ohio. (that and my car was built only two weeks after the mid-year change to "Tempest T-37" so originality has a little more significance than coolness).
