I also agree with this statement. My son was diagnosed with ADHD when he was in the 3rd grade. I did not allow them to give him any drugs. He is now 40. My middle granddaughter (now 11) was diagnosed with ADHD about 2 years ago. It turns out she had Grave's Disease - a very hyper active thyroid. The Internist was really pi$$ed that the school only pursued the issue far enough to diagnose her with ADHD. He also agreed that the schools are using it as a cop out.
