See what I mean MONTY? This is the kind of knee jerk reaction you get from the pro-ADD/ADHD crowd when someone has the audacity to question its validity. I posted my remarks in the hopes that someone would respond this way, so that you could see for yourself. No body knows your child better than you. Teaching self control and skills that focus the mind are the answers, not drugs!

Just so the poster of the above quote knows, I was diagnosed with ADD when I was a kid in the 80's. Guess what my parents did? Did they put me on drugs? NO!!! They helped me learn how to focus my mind. They taught me self control. I graduated high school with honors. I served my country in the USAF and learned a very technical trade that had a 70% wash out rate. I've started a couple of businesses and have experienced a lot of success. I'm raising a family of my own now and teaching my boys how to focus their minds. Did this "disease" just go away? Well, it certainly wasn't treated with drugs. I know first hand that its just an excuse! An excuse that I easily could have taken advantage of. Fortunately, my parents wouldn't let me.
Again pull your head out of your butt or shut up. I deal with this on a daily basis at school at home yada yada and Im sick of every body that does not have it telling me what Im doing wrong. no The "deisise" did not go away YOU NEVER HAD IT. you were obviosly misdiagnosed oh **** it your not worth it
