Try and find a copy of the "Book of Information".
I think it's no longer being printed but may still be found here & there.
It has lots of info on all models 64-70. It's just a copy of lots of Pontiac info, but a great source none the less.
As far as 66' Lemans engines it was 230 OHC both standard &/or the First year Sprint option.
Not all 6's were Sprints.
326 standard & HO as well. The HO had a different air cleaner then the base 326 but you would need to find the codes to tell for sure.
As far as a length. My Lemans is 16' 11.5 " (+- .5")
edge of rear bumper to edge of front bumper.
