I rechecked the number between plates and it is 37479 not 37489 as I wrote before.
Also underneath the bowl where it has cast #3 it has 37790 stamped.
I found another number on passenger side rear of airhorn 37498.
When you mention holes in back of air housing I see no holes? The airhorn has the tubes coming up on secondary side not the covered or enclosed type or POE if i'm understanding you correctly.
The throttle body has two vertical slots in each primary and a extra horizontal slot on one side only. Don't know it's function. Are these called the off idle slots?
I was thinking of rebuilding this carb for a driver and install a ram air 3 rebuild kit with proper jets etc. Would this carb be ok or is there anything that might not work for me?
