GMI (now Kettering University) was/is one of the highest ranking Engineering schools in the nation.
It was a tough, tough school. I graduated 10th in my class (of 400) in High School and didn't figure I'd have any trouble at GMI, but because it was the "creme of the crop" of High School students across the nation the competition was very tough.
I really struggled the first three years or so (it's a five year program) but graduated with an average, but respectable GPA.
I like to think I make up for my mediocre scholastics with my above average mechanical aptitude...
