Also, I don't know the general opinion on this board of Pete, so I went easy in stating my own opinion of him. When his book was first shown to me, it was a real eye-opener. I spent many weekends traipsing through junkyards looking for some of the elusive parts shown in the book. In the years since the books was published there have been very few corrections to the data Pete first put together, which stands as a testament to the research he did before publishing.
I was merely pointing out that he is held in high regard by many, at least for his knowledge of Pontiacs.

As I said, I don't know the man, I can only speak on what represents him. And he may have knowledge beyond me by far. I just can't seem to find any original works other than the one book. And in its day may have been the holy grail. I just find it hard to fall down and worship one who has built their own pulpit.
As far as holding someone in high regards, that is great, If I knew more I might myself. As far as this goes, I can only find that people will attribute mountains of monuments in others names without the first ioda of proof. Just looking for the proof.
