That is a question for OEM Glass. I think production run would have to exceed 1000 to be feasible.

As with anything, more the order, less the price. Why wasn't Corvair not mentioned? Isn't it the same windsheld?
Pooling clubs is certainly the best idea. Worldwide, at that. I know German. So, if anyone has any interest in having parts manufactured there or in pooling any German clubs (if any exist), I'm ready to help out.
Thing to note about Europe:
The most significant number of American car ownership- and organizations will be found in Switzerland and Scandinavia. Unfortunately, those aforementioned have a preference for the larger, higher horsepower variety.
