Drunkin,

That was a good read, but it merely stated that a harder block is a stronger block! I already knew that!
My question was, in other words, at what point will a block of less hardness fail as apposed to a block with more hardness. Hypothetically speaking, will one fail at 1000HP and the other fail at 700HP? Will the one with less hardness come apart or will it just move around causing premature wear on other components?
Or will both blocks survive the intended use, regardless of hardness? What test have been done to support this????

Just some food for thought.
