The '64 GTO I ordered 4-22-1964 was a 325 HP (4 bbl.) with 3.90 rear gears. As you can see from the attached order, the 3.90 rear end was part of a package for $75 that included Safey Track, the heavy duty radiator, metallic brakes, and speedometer adaptor. The car had no radiator shroud. The only '64 GTO's I saw back then with shrouds were the ones with factory A/C.

The heavy duty fan in '64 differed from the regular fan. The HD fan had seven unpainted aluminum blades with straight tips. The regular fan had black painted blades with curved tips.

I remember my car payment was $76 a month. Those were the days!!
