I figure SEVERAL problems:
1: shifter alignment to select 1 gear may not be happening, so you gets 2nd gear, yet the thin band is nnot grabbing the DIR Drum for engine braking.
2: Low fluid level, AND/OR new filter is one of those crappy ones that cloggs on nothing.
3: Vacuum Modulator or Govenor way-out of adjustment.
Soooo, Hows does REVERSE hold?
