I just built an almost identical 400 except it is the '69 version with #62 heads. I'd recommend running a cast 67-72 intake or performer intake and a factory 068 grind cam. With the 2802, you should really upgrade your valve springs as you are right on the edge with stock springs. I'd also ditch that holley and throw a q-jet on there. What kind of pistons are you going to run? I used TRW forged with an additional 6cc dish (done at the machine shop) to get around 9.5:1. Use a standard melling 60lb pump and forget about the elec fuel pump, you wont need it. My mechanical pump seems to be more than sufficient for the 400 I referenced above.
My 400 has a small lope at idle, plenty of vacuum (15") and pulls like a freight train! To be honest, I'm very surprised how hard this engine runs. Have fun with your build!
