With all of these innuendo's and obfuscation(look it up) is part of the reason this case is going still.

John in fact it does have something to do with THIS case, as was stated above. In this case KRE states the defects were were caused by the machine shop or the owner in the suit-not them or their foundry or their in house final machining. Correct-none of us actually miked the cam tunnel except the shop. Correct-none of us observed that sonic test on that block. Did KRE have all of this batch verified by an independent tester to say they were in specs and can produce that in legal discovery? Bet not.

John humor me since MULTIPLE blocks were Brinell tested as soft that that in fact was an issue. Humor me in that at least Steve C's block was one tested by a different company that certifies hardness- so let's say it was accurate and that any other blocks from the same pour at the foundry WILL be the same-soft. Steve's had one hole, the seal, incorrectly machined too large, and MAYBE other blocks could have other holes like cam tunnels or even bolt holes incorrect. KRE said it wasn't too large. Steve's block was also sonic checked at a different shop -too thin as advertised-so I'd bet the same core patterns were used for all of those in that batch. Humor me in the fact that OMT's block had something very suspicious of a crack beginning -and so other blocks could have other cracks and this one was recalled. I guess since you didn't see them either they didn't really happen either.

So we have one batch that multiple blocks had issues that are all similar(hardness,wall thickness,hole diameters). To deny one is defective is to say none were and everyone here is lying and there really wasn't a reason for a recall- basically what KRE is saying about the defects in this suit-not manufacturing all final machining related.

So then why the recall if they were all fine? I know you can't say why others do what they did, but must not be because there were any block issues.

In my profession we have a saying "if you hear hoofbeats you usually look for horses not zebras on this continent." Another one "if there is enough smoke there has to be a fire." There is smoke and hoofbeats here!

How many blocks have to be verified with the same issues to believe they were real problems and were finally recalled because they were? Different shops, different owners, same results.
