Yes, a pressure test would find the missing plug for the 1-2 shift mod. Best way is to put compressed air with a gauge into the pressure tap. Compare 3,2, and 1. 1 should sound like you're blowing almost directly in the case and the pressure will drop if the plug's missing.

Didn't you say this was a problem before the new shop?

If so, have the shop pull the vb and look for the two items in the pictures. They owe you that.

As far as the dual feed mod plug. No, I don't think it can be pressure tested.
