Not taking away from anyone's accomplishments, butI'd rather watch 9-10 second door cars than watch a rail. Why do you think the stands are empty for most super pro rail races...because rails are boring. RED's are more exciting, as there are not many around.

The Klingerman's run a nostalgia Monza funny car named "Fuelish". Got to ride along with them one year at the Geezers event at MG. They run a BBC on alky with a 6-71 up top. They run it with a very conservative tune backed by a 'glide. Car weight with Tracy on board after a pass is 2250. I would guess they're making around 1100-1200 HP. The car typically runs low 7.50's, but has run 7.50's on occasion with their current tune. If they stuck this engine in an 1800 lb. race ready rail it would obviously be much faster.
