We all know how the old TL's work. FL's clean with shallow water and the clothes tumbling over each other does the agitating.
The Fisher Paykel TL distributes soap, instead of pooring it in on top, and it seems to clean a whites a little better than my old TL's. The agitation is also different, it drives both directions instead of the old ratcheting corkscrew. But FP claims the way the soap is distributed is what cleans clothes, agitation is only to allow the particles to fall from the fabric and the fast rinse and spin cycle separates them for good.
Works for me.
