Shortly after that test I ebayed the X-stream lid and filter. Cant remember the part numbers but...this is what I did. Using this link to KN I just put in the round filter dimensions I needed to make that X stream top clear the carb and stay under the scoop.Only one would actually work for me. The '76 base looks deeper so my PN would prob not work.

Right now I just have a KN stock replacement filter.
