I just switched my 67 over from TH-350 to M-20 ( 2.56 rear now but have 3.36 Posi to go in) One thing I found was that the frame side bracket for the z-bar is different for a 67 than a 68,69. It is shaped different and the mounting holes line-up different. I bought a repo that was suppose to fit 67 -69, but it did not line-up. I could have drilled new holes in my frame to make it fit, but I wanted to make it look correct. Your frame already has the holes for this bracket, and mine were also already threaded. I found a used 67 bracket and it bolted right up.
I used pedals, flywheel, and bellhousing off of E-bay
The speedometer cable is also routed different on a Firebird with a Muncie trans. My cable would not reach, so I started checking engine bay pictures whereever I could. I bought a 67 parts car that was a 4spd originally and noticed that were my speedo cable came out of the firewall on my auto car was different. The 4spd car had a rubber block off at the hole on the firewall and the speedo cable came out under the wiper motor. You should see a round place the size of a quarter on the firewall under the wipermotor on your car. It will not be drilled out, but is a "template" to drill it out.
My crossmember fit and so did my driveshaft. The shifter was also in the correct position in the Trans tunnel.
If you want any pictures just send me a PM and I will send them to you. I spent a lot of time gathering info on doing this changeover and everything went together great. I hope I can save you some time and trouble.
