If you gasket match the intake you will see a world of difference. You need to see if it's on the primary or secondary side when you mash it and it stumbles. I ran a #068 milder cam with a 750 and performer intake on a 455 and ran great. But did have to play with the carb. Most stumbles, especially with Pontiacs is the pump shot. Even Holley on a Pontiac usually require more pump shot.

Might try more intital. I have seen that make a big difference. I ran 18 with 36 total.
