Well, here's the latest. I got one door dissassembled. Got it, the right front fender and the cowl panel stripped. My body man called with some good news. I won't need to replace the driver's side quarter panel or the tail panel. Just the passenger side quarter, trunk pan, a patch in the floorbord( heater core leak?) and a transmission tunnel patch to fix a manual trans install. Whoever did the body work on the previous resto did not weld. He used pop rivets every two inches!
I also bought and installed the front brake flex hoses. That is when I found the upper control arm bumpers were not in! When I find out who was supposed to tell me to do it, I am going to let them have it. I worked 12 hours this week not counting the trip to the body shop and spent $93.50 on brake hoses and another $50.00 on stripper and other supplies.
Labor @ 235 hrs= $4,700.00
parts = $5,986.65
total = $10,686.65
