Brake switch needs 12 volts hooked up correctly and flasher needs to have 12 volts, before you can tell if turnsignal switch is bad.
Your brake light test, using brake lights to feed rear turn, does not mean turn signal switch is bad.
It would not be uncommon to have a bad turnsignal switch, you just need to make sure flasher has power, like brake lights, before you start changing parts.

No the front turn signals are not working but the front parking lights do work.
I checked for 12V at the flasher with the key on and yes I do have a constant and unchanging 12V there.
When I checked for 12V at the red wire that leads into the brake light switch connecter.....at first I got 12V but then checking it again I got 6.5V and then later 4V.
After sitting a wile I had twelve volts at the red wire again but after I engage the connect with the stop light switch and press the brake pedal once the power drops off to less that 6V again.
You said above that the brake light switch had to be connected correctly. It’s a two prong connecter that could be plugged in two ways….Does it matter how you plug it in?
Also If the Directional signal switch is engaged with the key off and then you turn it on, you can hear one blink under the dash and then it stops. When this happens you do not get one flash of the lights at the rear or the front turn lights.
