I believe the series II snouts were longer and the pulleys were different sizes. To change the pulley on series I you had to change the snout. To change the pulley on series II you could just change the pulley. When I worked at a pontiac dealership we would get rebuilt replacement from Magnuson Products Inc., which deal with Eaton superchargers. We could get a complete reman for under $800. A complete reman nose drive was $220. You might want to check them out. Those prices were from about 6 years ago. I think the intake design was changed from series I and series II.
