I cant seem to come up with any pictures showing the difference between the standard performance, the Ram Air IV or the 455HO fuel lines from the pump to the carb. Again I apologize for the interruption, but I know you guys are more knowledgeable than I am. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks Eddie.

The "correct" pump # for ALL 1970 & 1971 Trans ams & 4bbl Formula's is a Delco 40838.
That # was superceeded by 40959.

Original (NOS) ones are difficult to find & 40838's command some serious $$$.

MOST fuel pump mfgrs. use those #s or can cross reference them to their #'s.

As previously discussed, this pump is capable of taking your HO into the LOW 12's.

If you ordered a pump/carb line for a 71 Trans am you SHOULD have the right one.
