Over 300 passes on my old motor with one, tore it down tonight. Was going to re ring and put new bearing in it, everything still looks like it did when it was assymbled. Still going to do it(don't know why). 3% leakdown, and 80 lbs oil pressure running thin oil. Dude had other problems if he broke the snout off, or like I said in a previouse post you have to let it come up to temp and let the ring center itself before you hammer on it. The damper did not break the snout off. their was something else wrong their. It would take a tremendouse amount of counter balance to break the snout off. More than what an out of balance neutral balance damper could produce. Their is only like .020 space between the inner ring and the outer cover of the balancer for the fluid, not much room for error.
