Funny you should mention that. Theres a piece of 'c' channel glued to the inside of the rear quarter on these cars, I assume, for that purpose. It's right below the c-pillar/rear quarter glass area and is visible from inside the trunk compartment.
If I extended mine about 6" to the rear, it would solve my oil canning problem.
I have a scrap piece from a donor car and I was thinking of doing that exact thing with it.
