Believe it or not, even the best carb ever made needs some maintainace after 20+ years of service.
You just happens to have one of the best carbs ever made.
Give it a good clean out, jiffy kit, new float and at least a new primary choke pull off, (sec choke pull-off is an option in my opinion).
