Be aware!! Once you buy a welder and learn how to use it, all your friends and relatives will have you welding their stuff too!! You could even make enough money to pay for your welder and supplies!
Go for it! It doesn't take that long to learn and next thing you know you'll be welding everything. Life's an experience! Learn! You'll never have to worry about who will weld stuff for you again or the quality of their work.
You could even take classes at trade school or local state college,but learning by experience is what most do. It just takes a little practice. Get a junk panel and weld on it or scrap steel.
I welded by experience then took some classes and got certified. Never hurts to learn.
