Well...actually it is calculated by how much time it takes you to cover the speed trap distance, it doesn't have anything to do with acceleration, but what I am saying is....

It is hard to understand how wasting time at in the first part of the track doesn't result in lost mph at the end of the track. I have even heard people say that spinning a little off the line actually causes the mph to jump up a little. I can't understand the physics behind it.
